Right around the corner of the market place is the old Palace and its front square. From here the Kings Way starts and will bring you to the most impressive houses, palaces and churches of Warsaw. On your way, you will pass the old city walls from the 14th century. Some of the original city gates are still there, they can be visited inside. The university, the Presidents Palace and many other highlights are part of the Kings Way until it ends at the Wilanow Palace.

Eat, drink, party in Warsaw

The highest and best-known building of Warsaw is the Culture Palace, a present by Stalin to the people of Poland. The enormous tower houses cinemas, theatres, bars and museums. It is a good place to get an overview over the city. Visit the Holy Cross Church, where the heart of the famous composer Frédéric Chopin is kept, while the rest of him rests on the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris. Hungry? Try Polish specialties like Bigos, a hearty stew, or Pierogi, the polish version of ravioli. Do you want to go out and have a night on the town? Warsaw’s night live has become famous all over Europe, with new clubs and bars opening everywhere in the city.
