Later the Alcazaba was connected to a second fortress further up the mountain by a walled walkway, the Castillo de Gibralfaro. At the feet of the castle complex is the ruin of a Roman amphitheatre, which is also worth a visit.
Malaga – Arts and culture, golfing and the beach
Malaga’s most famous son is without a doubt the famous artist Pablo Picasso (even though the actor Antonio Banderas is a close second). The city has honoured him with a beautiful museum, giving a great insight into his life and his art. His house of birth is also a magnet for the art-loving tourists.
