Amsterdam – Cosmopolitanism on the Water

Fun fact: the Dutch capital is criss-crossed by more canals than Venice. And if you walk along Amsterdam's canals, you will discover a lot: a floating flower market, cozy cafés by the water, or the Albert Cuyp market, where you can buy bric-a-brac, cheese or Dutch specialties such as frikandels and stroopwafels. If you prefer something more international, you can dine in restaurants serving authentic Chinese cuisine. The cultural offerings are also excellent: the museum quarter is home to works by Dutch masters such as Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Van Gogh, and the Eye film museum is a must-see for cineastes.
