You can simply and easily add your sports baggage to your Lufthansa flight no later than 72 hours before departure here. We’ll check availability and make the booking for you. We’ll inform you by email if it is not possible to make the booking for your sports baggage. If your booking is successful, you must pay the fees incurred when checking in at the airport.

Bicycle

  • Bicycles must be packed in a robust protective cover or appropriate bag (e.g. cardboard box, hard plastic)
  • no motors or e-bikes permitted
  • there may be restrictions on regional flights
  • Lufthansa Express Bus: carriage at your own risk, reservation not possible
  • Lufthansa Express Rail: not permitted

  • The bag must comply with the Dangerous Goods Regulations
  • Torch (LED or traditional): battery must be stowed separately in your carry-on baggage and protected against short circuits
  • motor-driven compressors for filling oxygen cylinders are not permitted
