Mild spring and colorful autumn – the best times to visit New York

The best times to explore the metropolis are the spring months from March to May and the fall to early October. This is because at those times the temperatures in New York are in a pleasant range – unlike in the scorching summer and sometimes extremely cold winter. Some of the most exciting festivals and events also take place during these seasons – for example, the Ninth Avenue International Food Festival (May), the Upper West Fest (April-May), the Atlantic Antic Street Festival (September), and the Feast of San Gennaro (September).
