Current travel information

Lufthansa Group and its airlines are not collective bargaining partners in this dispute with the Verdi union, but - like many other airlines - are affected.

There will be delays and extensive cancellations on all Lufthansa Group Airlines flights to and from the affected airports on the day of the strike.

Lufthansa Group has published a special flight schedule. The aim is to be able to return to a stable flight schedule as quickly as possible after the end of the strike.

What travellers can do:

To ensure travellers' planning security, Lufthansa Group Airlines is offering all guests whose flights are cancelled due to the Verdi strike a free rebooking to a flight at another time or, alternatively, free cancellation of the ticket.

Passengers should check the status of their flight at lh.com in good time before travelling to the airport.

Lufthansa Group Airlines will inform its passengers who are affected by a cancellation. The prerequisite for this is the provision of contact details, such as email or telephone number, in the booking.

In the event of a cancellation, Lufthansa Group guests will automatically be rebooked onto another flight free of charge. This rebooking can also be adjusted again if desired. Alternatively, the Lufthansa Chatbot is available.

If the flight was booked with a tour operator or travel agency, guests can also contact the tour operator or travel agency directly.

Replacement transport with Deutsche Bahn:

If a domestic Lufthansa flight has been cancelled, the flight ticket can be converted into a Deutsche Bahn ticket free of charge on lh.com. It is also advisable to make a reservation on the Deutsche Bahn website.

Currently, fraudulent fake pages with purported Lufthansa contacts can be found on the Internet using the standard search engines. These aim to access the (personal) details of our customers. Please only use channels listed on lufthansa.com for making contact, and enter your details only on lufthansa.com. Always access the website manually by typing in your browser’s address bar, and do not follow any link that has not been made available by Lufthansa.
