- Nandi Hills: rolling hills, breathtaking views – a trip to the Nadi Hills is ideal for those who enjoy hiking. The hills are a popular destination for a day trip. It takes around an hour-and-a-half by car – and offers a welcome change from the urban jungle. Also recommended: the village of Nandi with the Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple, whose history dates to the 9th century.
- Mysuru: only around two hours by car or train from Bengaluru is the city of Mysuru, known for its rich history and the magnificent Amba Vilas Palace. It is worth a visit to explore the royal past of the maharaja's residence and the vibrant culture of the region.
- Bannerghatta National Park: the national park is located about an hour from Bengaluru and offers a wonderful opportunity to experience India's diverse wildlife up close. Visitors can join a safari to spot lions, tigers, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. The park is also home to a butterfly enclosure and a zoo, both of which are particularly popular with families.
