What to see and do in Frankfurt
Enjoy a weekend in Frankfurt strolling through the old city, taking a look at the Kaiserdom cathedral or admiring the skyline of the banking district that they also call "Mainhattan" from the "Eiserner Steg Bridge".
Walk across the Roemer Square and consider visiting the museum district where culture lovers will find an impressive selection of renown museums. Take a city tour with the nostalgic tram, the "Ebbelwei Express", that is particularly popular or visit the Palm Garden and Frankfurt Zoo. For the ladies, stylish fashion can be found in Goethestrasse's chic boutiques or go to the "Zeil" for your High Street shops.

The Lufthansa Airport Bus carries passengers from and to Mannheim, Heidelberg, Augsburg, Marburg/Gießen, Strasbourg several times a day, irrespective of the airline company that the passengers have booked their tickets with.
Especially Heidelberg and Strasbourg, France are popular tourist destinations that are very nice to visit in the summer.
You can also rent bikes and cycle around the beautiful Rhein/Main region. Or take a beautiful train ride along the Rhein river to the oldest town Germany's Trier, where you will see quite a few old castles on the way.

Travel to or from the centre of Frankfurt
After your flight arrives at Frankfurt Airport, take the S-Bahn train to the main station (Hauptbahnhof). The S-Bahn runs about every 10 min and the journey lasts ca. 15 min. (Get more train information here.) Connect here or find your hotel in the area. For more convenience use one of the off white Mercedes taxis waiting outside Flight Arrivals at both terminals to get into central Frankfurt in around 30 minutes. Buses run from Terminal 1 Flight Arrivals to Frankfurt's southern train station in 20 to 30 minutes.
