Discover Dusseldorf and North Rhine-Westphalia region. Enjoy a weekend or holiday in Dusseldorf with its motto "churches, art and pubs"by taking a stroll downtown or sitting outside in one of the many cafés. The old part of town "Altstadt" is famous as 'the longest bar in the world'. So take a break and have a drink there.
See the birth place of author Heinrich Heine, the old Town hall with Jan Wellem's equestrian statue, the Rhine embankment promenade.
Take an excursion boat to the new "MedienHafen" which world-renown architects such as Frank O. Gehry have made a top address for connoisseurs of architecture. Train
With its own railway station, Dusseldorf Airport offers a comfortable transfer to the city centre. It is located at the eastern end of the airport grounds. SkyTrain, a fully-automated cable railway brings you from the railway building directly into the terminal.
