Exclusive Lufthansa First Class check-in area re-opened.

The exclusive Lufthansa First Class check-in area at Terminal 2 in Munich Airport has now re-opened. First Class passengers, HON Circle Members, Senators, and Star Gold card holders can now issue their boarding passes in stylish surroundings, drop off their baggage, relax in a waiting area, or use the dedicated security checkpoint. In addition, rebookings can be made at a specially designated ticketing counter.

Check-in and gate areas

You can issue your boarding pass from 30 hours before departure conveniently and quickly in the Lufthansa app or online. Save your boarding pass in the Lufthansa app to be kept informed about changes concerning your flight. At the airport you can issue your boarding pass at a check-in machine. Your departure gate can be found on your boarding pass, in the Lufthansa app and on display boards at the airport.

Bag drop-off

The Lufthansa bag drop-off areas are located in Terminal 2. Travellers arriving by Lufthansa Express Bus can drop off their baggage at the self-service bag drop kiosks after their arrival at the bus station.

At Munich Airport you can drop off your baggage yourself at a self-service bag drop kiosk. To do this, scan your boarding pass at a bag tag machine and attach this to the long side of your baggage item.

Location of bag drop-off: Terminal 2, Departures Level 04 and at both side entrances to the car drop-off lane and to the taxi and bus drop-off lane.

Opening hours:
End of October to end of March:
04:30–21:30 hours
End of March to end of October: 03:30–21:30 hours
Side entrances to the car drop-off lane and taxi and bus drop-off lane all year round: 04:00–21:30 hours

Exclusive premium self-service bag drop kiosks for First Class and Business Class passengers as well as status customers are provided in the Departures Hall at counters 470 to 474. As usual, the bag tag also gets the appropriate Priority or HON imprint here so that your baggage is given priority unloading at your destination airport.

Baggage drop-off for bulky baggage

Surfboards, fully foldable travel pushchairs, and backpacks – some items of baggage need to be checked in separately at the bulky-baggage counter. You will be told at the airport whether your item of baggage counts as bulky baggage. Please check in your bulky baggage only after you have checked in your regular baggage.

Location of bag drop-off for bulky baggage:
Terminal 2 on Level 04, counters 25 and 26. Please note that backpacks must also be checked in at the bulky baggage counter.

Baggage that has to be declared to customs must be checked in at counter 21.
