More than just a good flight: the new Terminal 2-Satellite at Munich
Munich’s newest attraction. The Terminal 2-Satellite at Munich Airport, the new satellite building that expands Terminal 2, transforms the journey into an extraordinary experience for all Lufthansa passengers before they have even taken off.
Pleasantly short distances
Even getting to the Terminal 2-Satellite is a unique experience: relax while fully automated, energy-saving trains take you to the Terminal 2-Satellite in less than a minute. From there, you can reach your gate quickly and can board your aircraft directly.
Spacious and multifaceted
With its bright, inviting atmosphere, you will love the expansive architecture of the Terminal 2-Satellite in Munich from the very first moment you see it. As you explore this light-flooded building, highlights are the new lounges, as well as numerous shops, bars and restaurants in the waiting area. The direct views of the airport apron and the Alpine panorama are absolutely stunning.
Shop and enjoy yourself
The central market place around the tower invites you to linger a little and enjoy something to eat or drink. The architecture of the market place is reminiscent of Munich’s famous ‘Viktualienmarkt’ food market. It is surrounded by a comprehensive range of shops, cafes and restaurants, with an excellent selection of Bavarian and international premium products. Videos of dream destinations shown on the LED wall provide passengers with inspiration for their next holiday.
Relax and freshen up
In the extensive waiting area with its comfortable loungers for relaxing, all visitors to the Terminal 2-Satellite are able to find peace and quiet and to de-stress. This is the place for passengers to treat themselves to a refreshing shower, and for families to relax and have some fun in the waiting zones with play areas. And for those who have work to do, Wi-Fi, power sockets and USB connections are available.
Exclusive lounge services for status customers
Before their flight, status customers can get away from the noise and bustle and relax in five lounges with a total area of more than 4,000 square metres. The Senator and Business Lounges on the non-Schengen level offer something quite special: a Panorama Bar which extends across both lounges. Here, passengers will also find separate work stations, a TV area and comfortable shower rooms.
Enjoy a coffee at the gate
In cooperation with Nespresso, Lufthansa offers its passengers at gates within the Schengen Area the ultimate in coffee pleasure before they have even taken off. At our Coffee Points, four different delicious flavours are available to coffee connoisseurs for only 2 euros a cup.
Simply pay cash, by credit/debit card or with your Giro card and select your favourite flavour capsule from Lungo Forte, Espresso Forte, Ristretto or Ristretto Intenso. Then sit back and enjoy a delicious coffee while you wait for boarding.
Superb view from the First Class Lounge roof terrace
On the top level of the Terminal 2-Satellite in Munich, First Class passengers and HON Circle Members can relax in a luxurious environment. Floor-to-ceiling windows ensure a bright and friendly atmosphere. Spread over an area of 1,000 square metres, outstanding comfort and the Lufthansa lounge roof terrace with its unique view await you.
Exciting play areas for children
With their play areas, the waiting zones for families with children are easy to recognise. Designed in natural materials, taking their inspiration from the concept of “Mountains and Nature in Bavaria”, these play areas are located on both levels of Munich Airport’s Terminal 2-Satellite. In the new passenger terminal, young, unaccompanied passengers will find a separate area with age-appropriate facilities: here, for example, they can play table football, use the two Internet PCs, utilise the play corner and relax on comfy floor cushions.
