Fixed price upgrades at online check-in

More space, more service, more comfort: make your trip even more enjoyable just before departure. We offer you upgrades at a fixed price at online check-in depending on your existing travel class and route.

Changing seats in online check-in

Passengers whose booked fare does not include free seat reservation will automatically be assigned a seat in the check-in process. Passengers who wish to change their seat have the opportunity after successful online check-in to view the seat map and, subject to availability, to select a different seat category for a fee.

Passengers who have already purchased a seat category may change their seat, subject to availability, within the same category or in another lower category.

A seat may be changed online up to 2 hours before departure on flights operated by Lufthansa, Swiss, Brussels Airlines and Austrian Airlines. Payment for this change may only be made by credit card.

Add extra baggage items at the online check-in

Passengers can add extra baggage items during online check-in.

The number of items and cost for the extra baggage will depend on the travel class, the fare booked and the route.

Extra baggage items purchased during online check-in are non-refundable.

This rule does not apply to:

  • Flight cancellations
  • Involuntary rebookings
